Just last week, I completed my Biochemistry course that spanned for five years. When I first got admitted into the university I felt I was out of place. I felt as if the same fate that befalls many Nigerians has befallen me, and it’s the fact that many people seldom get to study their course of choice in the university due to the dense population and limited Universities available – little did I know that I was going to love the course.
During my five years of study, I got to discover that there is a lot similitude between biochemistry and life. I came to appreciate the beauty of our creator – the way He fashioned everything in our body, following great principles of precision, organization, excellence, and dependability; it then began to dawn on me that life is meant to function the way our cells, tissues, and organs function.
The whole principle of biochemistry is based on relationship and interdependence, where every cell functions to its optimum capacity, knowing that its inability to function properly will have drastic effect, not only on itself, but on its fellow cells, thereby affecting the tissue it is a part of, then to the organ and to the entire body as a whole. I discovered that the whole parts of the human body have this consciousness, and will always thrive to function with precision. It then dawned on me that if we can embrace the normality of how life should function by studying how our body operates and applying it to our everyday lives; if we can accept that we are an integral part of this world we live in and strive to make it a better place, then the results we get from life will be great, rewarding, refreshing, and full of serendipity.
So all I’ll be sharing in this blog will be all I’ve learnt so far (and will learn) about Biochemistry and its application to life’s issues (leadership, love, relationships and self mastery). I’m certain you’ll enjoy the ride on life’s roller coaster.
Enjoy!!!
